Estrategias de intervención de enfermería para mejorar la salud materno-infantil en áreas desfavorecida

El presente artículo de revisión narrativa explora las estrategias de intervención de enfermería diseñadas para mejorar la salud materno-infantil en áreas desfavorecidas. A pesar de los avances en la atención médica global, las disparidades en la salud materno-infantil persisten, especialmente en comunidades con recursos limitados. Este estudio analiza diversas intervenciones implementadas por enfermeras, que van desde la educación sanitaria y la promoción de la salud, hasta el apoyo emocional y el seguimiento continuo durante el embarazo y el postparto. Se destaca la importancia de la formación culturalmente competente de las enfermeras para adaptar las estrategias a las necesidades específicas de cada comunidad. Además, se examinan programas exitosos que han demostrado mejorar los resultados de salud, como la reducción de la mortalidad materna y neonatal, y el aumento de la tasa de vacunación infantil. Este artículo subraya la necesidad de políticas de salud pública que apoyen y financien estas intervenciones, así como la colaboración intersectorial para maximizar el impacto. En conclusión, las enfermeras desempeñan un papel crucial en la mejora de la salud materno-infantil en áreas desfavorecidas, y sus intervenciones efectivas pueden ser la clave para cerrar la brecha en la atención sanitaria global.
