Avances en el tratamiento agudo del accidente cerebrovascular isquémico

Resumo

El tratamiento agudo del accidente cerebrovascular isquémico ha experimentado avances significativos en las últimas décadas, mejorando considerablemente el pronóstico de los pacientes. Este artículo de revisión narrativa aborda los desarrollos recientes en el manejo de esta condición, enfocándose en la implementación de terapias de reperfusión, como la trombólisis intravenosa con alteplasa y la trombectomía mecánica. La selección adecuada de pacientes mediante técnicas avanzadas de imagen cerebral, como la tomografía computarizada de perfusión y la resonancia magnética, ha permitido una identificación más precisa de candidatos para estas intervenciones, ampliando la ventana terapéutica y optimizando los resultados clínicos. Además, se discuten nuevas estrategias farmacológicas y terapias adyuvantes que están en evaluación para mejorar la eficacia y seguridad del tratamiento agudo. La importancia de un enfoque multidisciplinario y la organización eficiente de los sistemas de atención prehospitalaria y hospitalaria también se destacan como factores críticos para el éxito del tratamiento. Este artículo revisa la literatura actual para proporcionar una visión integral de los avances en el campo, subrayando la necesidad de continuar investigando para seguir mejorando las tasas de supervivencia y la calidad de vida de los pacientes que sufren un accidente cerebrovascular isquémico.
