Terapias emergentes para el manejo del acné severo: desde la dermatología hasta la cirugía plástica

El acné severo representa un desafío significativo en el ámbito dermatológico debido a su impacto físico y psicológico en los pacientes. Este artículo de revisión narrativa explora las terapias emergentes para su manejo, abarcando desde enfoques dermatológicos hasta intervenciones quirúrgicas avanzadas. En el ámbito dermatológico, se destacan tratamientos innovadores como los moduladores del microbioma cutáneo, terapias con láser de última generación y agentes biológicos dirigidos a vías inflamatorias específicas. Paralelamente, la cirugía plástica ofrece soluciones para cicatrices residuales mediante técnicas como la subcisión, el uso de láseres fraccionados y los injertos dérmicos. Estas estrategias multidisciplinarias no solo buscan controlar la actividad de la enfermedad, sino también mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente mediante la restauración estética y funcional de la piel. En este contexto, la personalización del tratamiento, basada en las características individuales del paciente y el estadio de la enfermedad, se presenta como un enfoque clave. Este artículo resalta la importancia de la colaboración entre dermatólogos, cirujanos plásticos y otros especialistas para lograr resultados óptimos en el manejo integral del acné severo.
