Resumo

La dermatología regenerativa representa una prometedora área de investigación y aplicación clínica que busca optimizar la reparación y regeneración de tejidos cutáneos dañados mediante el uso de células madre. Las heridas crónicas y las cicatrices representan un desafío significativo en dermatología debido a su impacto funcional, estético y psicológico en los pacientes. Las células madre, con su capacidad intrínseca de autorrenovación y diferenciación en múltiples tipos celulares, ofrecen un enfoque innovador para abordar estas condiciones complejas. Diversos estudios han explorado el potencial de las células madre mesenquimales, epidérmicas y pluripotentes en la promoción de la regeneración cutánea, destacando su papel en la modulación de la inflamación, la angiogénesis y la síntesis de matriz extracelular. Además, se han desarrollado técnicas avanzadas para su aplicación, como el uso de biomateriales y sistemas de liberación controlada para optimizar su eficacia terapéutica. Aunque los resultados preliminares son prometedores, persisten desafíos relacionados con la estandarización de protocolos, la seguridad a largo plazo y la accesibilidad clínica. Este artículo revisa los avances más recientes en el uso de células madre en dermatología regenerativa, proporcionando una visión integral sobre su potencial impacto en el manejo de heridas crónicas y cicatrices.
