Avances en el manejo de fracturas en niños: técnicas mínimamente invasivas y su impacto en la recuperación

Resumo

En los últimos años, el manejo de fracturas en niños ha experimentado avances significativos gracias a la implementación de técnicas mínimamente invasivas, las cuales han demostrado ser altamente efectivas para optimizar los resultados clínicos y acelerar el proceso de recuperación. Este artículo de revisión narrativa explora las innovaciones en procedimientos quirúrgicos, como la fijación elástica intramedular, la reducción cerrada asistida por imágenes y el uso de materiales biocompatibles, que han permitido minimizar el daño tisular, reducir el dolor postoperatorio y disminuir las complicaciones asociadas. Asimismo, se analiza cómo estas técnicas impactan positivamente en la rehabilitación funcional, favoreciendo una reintegración más rápida a las actividades cotidianas y deportivas, factores cruciales en la población pediátrica. Además, se discuten los criterios para seleccionar el abordaje más adecuado según la localización y complejidad de la fractura, así como las consideraciones particulares en niños debido a su crecimiento óseo activo. Finalmente, se destacan los desafíos actuales y las áreas de investigación futura, incluyendo el desarrollo de dispositivos más avanzados y protocolos personalizados que promuevan una recuperación integral. Este enfoque innovador subraya la importancia de un tratamiento multidisciplinario y centrado en el paciente para lograr resultados óptimos en esta población vulnerable.
