Innovaciones en el uso de terapias regenerativas para úlceras de difícil cicatrización

Resumo

Las úlceras de difícil cicatrización representan un desafío significativo en el ámbito clínico debido a su impacto en la calidad de vida de los pacientes y los elevados costos asociados a su manejo. En los últimos años, las terapias regenerativas han emergido como una alternativa prometedora, ofreciendo soluciones innovadoras basadas en la biología y la ingeniería tisular. Este artículo de revisión aborda los avances más recientes en el uso de terapias celulares, como el empleo de células madre mesenquimales, y productos derivados, incluyendo factores de crecimiento y matrices bioactivas, que han demostrado potenciar los procesos de reparación y regeneración tisular. Asimismo, se analizan las aplicaciones de biomateriales avanzados, como hidrogeles y andamios tridimensionales, diseñados para proporcionar un microentorno óptimo para la cicatrización. Se discuten también las tecnologías emergentes, como la impresión 3D y la terapia génica, que abren nuevas perspectivas en el tratamiento personalizado de estas lesiones crónicas. A pesar de los avances significativos, persisten retos relacionados con la estandarización de protocolos, la escalabilidad y el acceso a estas terapias. Este análisis integral subraya la necesidad de continuar con investigaciones multidisciplinarias para optimizar su eficacia clínica y garantizar su implementación en la práctica médica cotidiana.
