Aplicaciones de la imagenología en el tratamiento quirúrgico de fracturas complejas – revisión narrativa

La imagenología ha revolucionado el enfoque del tratamiento quirúrgico de fracturas complejas, ofreciendo herramientas avanzadas para mejorar la precisión y los resultados clínicos. Este artículo de revisión narrativa examina las aplicaciones contemporáneas de la imaginería médica en el ámbito quirúrgico, destacando su papel crucial en la planificación preoperatoria, la guía intraoperatoria y la evaluación postoperatoria. Técnicas como la tomografía computarizada (TC), la resonancia magnética (RM) y la fluoroscopia han permitido a los cirujanos obtener una visualización detallada de las estructuras óseas y los tejidos circundantes, facilitando una mejor comprensión de la complejidad de las fracturas. Además, la integración de tecnologías emergentes como la navegación quirúrgica asistida por computadora y la impresión 3D ha potenciado la capacidad para realizar intervenciones más precisas y personalizadas. Estas innovaciones no solo han optimizado los tiempos quirúrgicos, sino que también han reducido las tasas de complicaciones y mejorado los resultados funcionales para los pacientes. La revisión también aborda los desafíos actuales y las perspectivas futuras en el uso de la imaginería médica, subrayando la necesidad de formación continua y actualización tecnológica para maximizar sus beneficios en el tratamiento de fracturas complejas. En conclusión, la imaginería médica sigue siendo un pilar esencial en la evolución de las técnicas quirúrgicas modernas.
