Papel de los injertos y sustitutos dérmicos en la reparación de úlceras cutáneas

La cirugía ortognática requiere técnicas anestésicas que garanticen la estabilidad hemodinámica, un adecuado control del dolor y una recuperación eficiente. Este artículo de revisión narrativa compara la anestesia total intravenosa (TIVA) y la anestesia inhalatoria, analizando sus beneficios y limitaciones en este contexto quirúrgico. La TIVA, basada en la administración de agentes como el propofol, destaca por ofrecer una recuperación más rápida y con menor incidencia de náuseas y vómitos postoperatorios, además de un perfil hemodinámico estable. Por otro lado, la anestesia inhalatoria, comúnmente empleada con agentes como el sevofluorano, se caracteriza por su facilidad de administración y titulación, así como por su costo relativamente bajo. No obstante, puede asociarse a un mayor riesgo de efectos adversos respiratorios y un despertar más lento en algunos pacientes. Factores como las características individuales del paciente, la duración del procedimiento y la experiencia del equipo anestésico son determinantes en la elección del enfoque anestésico. Si bien ambas técnicas son seguras y efectivas en la cirugía ortognática, es esencial individualizar la selección para optimizar los resultados clínicos. Este análisis busca proporcionar una visión integral que facilite la toma de decisiones basada en evidencia en el ámbito de la anestesiología y la cirugía maxilofacial.
